Description
Pennsylvania Historic Resource Survey form documenting the commercial building at 943 Fifth Avenue in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. Dating from approximately 1900–1919 or earlier, the narrow three-story brick building is described as Victorian/Functional in style and features a flat roof, a dentiled parapet with recessed brick panels, transomed and sidelighted facade windows with stone sills and lintels, and segmental-arched windows on the east elevation. The first floor had been remodeled with a glass-and-metal storefront and a transomed single glass entrance door. At the time of the survey, the building was used commercially and housed Harbor Lite West. The survey notes that, while not architecturally outstanding, the building forms a good companion to the neighboring structure at 941 Fifth Avenue.
