Description

Pennsylvania Historic Resource Survey form documenting the Coraopolis Hardware building at 1029 Fifth Avenue in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. Dating from approximately 1900–1919, the two-story commercial building is constructed of brick on a concrete foundation and features a flat roof, nine-bay facade, double-hung windows, and decorative recessed brickwork along the cornice. The first floor contains a glass storefront with transomed double glass doors opening directly onto the sidewalk. At the time of the survey, the building housed Coraopolis Hardware. The survey rated the building’s condition and integrity as above average but considered it architecturally insignificant, noting its role as an infill structure within the commercial block.
